Lab Question -- Methylcellulose

I have lab in the morning and have to make a suspending vehicle composed of methylcellulose (to thicken) and syrup (to sweeten). We were told to "look up how to make it" prior to lab. When someone asked the instructor where to find such information he informed the class that an instructor from a class we took last year told us where we could find that info. Well, I don't remember!!!

Can someone please tell me where to find this, preferably online because lab is in the morning and I won't have an opportunity to use the library prior to lab.

Also, if someone could explain the process I'd appreciate it. I'll still go look it up, but would like to "hear" how it is done.

I may not be perfect, but first you crush your tablets and wet with glycerin. Then you add the desired amount of methylcellulose up to 30 mL in aliquots. Transfer the mixture to a conical flask, and add the amount of flavoring to 60 mL. Then transfer to amber bottle.
I believe this is the way, but I haven't done it since the Spring. My lab notes are currently located at home and I am at school. Double check before you do it. I might be confusing this with a carbomer gel formulation.
