Hey guys,
So we just finished our last lab in chemistry. During lab, we have to fill out a worksheet of the actual amounts of reagents we used, and have a TA sign us in at the beginning and out at the end. This worksheet must be attached to our final lab report.
I was very sick during labs last week (I had a kidney infection), and I couldn't delay and make it up in a different lab because this was the last lab taking place for this quarter. I was really out of it and I think I left this worksheet in the lab, and my ability to get it back is questionable (someone may have thrown it out).
Without this lab worksheet, I am defaulted to a failing grade on my lab report because it means no one can prove I was there. I have an A- in lab right now but taking a failing grade on this report would pull me down to a B range grade for the quarter.
How would you guys deal with this? Eat the grade? Appeal to the professor? How would you guys approach this?
