Does pharmacy school require you to do labs?

What subject in the pre-reqs are the labs closest to?

Our labs is all patient care labs. We do sterile and non-sterile compounding, dispensing, counseling, care plans, physical assessment and point of care testing.

At UF we start to compound prescpritions in our 3rd year. We learn everything about compounding (sterile and non sterile). However, we only compound non-sterile in lab (because labs don't often have HEPA filters hoods on) Basically, its a mixture of capsules, oral liquids, topicals & suppositories. It was quite fun for us, everyone in lab seem to enjoy it. But to answer your question, its probably closest to a basic chemistry lab. (with writeups, calculations, and so forth). Good luck!
