Do most medical schools require/strongly recommend that you have taken all of the lab portions of the pre-req science classes like biology and chemistry?

I believe the lab portions are required for most, if not all, medical schools. Checking the schools' website will confirm whether that's true or not.

I hated labs myself, but it is a very bad idea to skip out on labs. Best case scenario, you will severely limit yourself in where you can apply. Worst case scenario, you will have to take all those lousy labs before you can apply.
