Lack of contact from matched program

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
You know, I don't think it's wrong to expect some kind of acknowledgement--a "Hey, you got the job!" or a "Welcome to the Program--look forward to meeting you (again) in June". We've vested a lot of expectation in this whole applicationinterviewrankingmatching thing--I know that I wanted to get right on email and say hello.
Now some programs may turf this to coordinators who aren't as invested, or who maybe have other stuff on their plates, and treat it as a more routine thing. But this is different than the routine. It's kind of the highlight of the year, the culmination of what we've been spending the last 6 months working on.
Just my feelings about it anyhow...

Got a holiday gift basket from the place I took a job at. I was in such shock I thought I had a stalker, never crossed my mind until I got an email from them 6 hours later that someone from work might value me enough to send $100 gift basket.

Do you want a parade with a banner when you show up July 1 thinking you are awesome (bc people call you Dr) but don't know anything?
