Lactation = increased exam time

Wow it's going to take her a week to take Step III.

And every time a patient Googles her they'll find out that she's the one that couldn't pass her boards without suing someone.

It seems pretty obvious that she should have been given the extra time. More proof that the usmle folks are jerks. ;)

I can say that if it were me (and that's highly unlikely since I'm a man) I would just try and wait to schedule my exam until I'm done breast feeding my child. I wouldn't want to be a that freakin test center a second longer than I have to.

A 33 year old breasfeeding female is concerned about medical complications during a 9 hour exam. What is the next step in management?

a) give bromocriptine
b) radical mastectomy
c) euthanasia
d) refer to psychiatry
e) use icepacks and tylenol

Aren't c and d different terms for the same thing? :confused:
