Lange for Micro

I'm taking Microbiology in a few weeks. 😛

I've been doing some searches in the threads and two books seem to have come up as good for Micro: Clinical Micro Made Ridiculously Simple and Lange. On amazon, there are 20 listings for Lange with Microbiology in it. Anyone know which is the one people are using for Micro class or would be kind enough to provide a link for it?

Also, we are ONLY taking Micro, as we had a course in Immuno separately. Is it still worth buying the Lange book since it is Micro and Immuno?

i think the one I used was the micro and immuno lange book written by Levinson?

i dont know the difference between the micro and immuno book or the str8 micro book.

I was out sick and had to study for my Micro midterm only during the weekend. I used the Lange book and did okay. For my final, I used the CMMRS and Lange and did even better.

Anyways the moral of the story is, I would reccomend both. This are the best review books I have used in medical school. The Lange mostly for the questions in the back 👍 and CMMRS, the mnemonics are awesome 👍

I used to Clinical Micro Made Ridiculously Simple and the Micro Cards... they were great. Lange was our recommended text...but I didn't think it was necessary. The other two I mentioned were much more concise.

It is worth buying even though you don't need the immunology. It is a review book and not a textbook so it's great for being succinct but is in prose form which I prefer over the outlines of most review books. There is also a lot of helpful review questions.
