i was recently given this book for free... does anyone know if it is worth doing? are the questions any good? i am debating doing this or buying usmle world... already doing qbank...

I have found A&L (Appleton&Lange) question books to be inferior to PreTest, Qbook, BSS, etc. My experience is limited to A&L path and A&L step 1.

PreTest Pathology is a particulary good Q book that is often overlooked, especially the first block.

I used it earlier in my studying and have since used several other question sources.....IMO it really sucks....the only questions that I thought were somewhat worthwhile were the pharm q's b/c they are written by Katzung.....bottom line...go w/ UW

I used it in the pre-usmleworld era and thought it was just so-so. Some subjects better than others. QBank and QBook were both better.
