Laptop for DAT studying

I need help deciding on what type of cheap laptop to get for studying for the DAT. I have a desktop at home and an iPad. My mom got a Surface RT for me but I returned it since it really can't do anything I need even though it was so cute and small.

I want something that will be able to run Crack DAT PAT and the other programs out there that need to be on your computer. I will also be using it to watch Chad's Videos and I need to be able to use OneNote and Anki. I know I need to have an internet connection to watch Chad's Videos but the other things I would like a computer that doesn't need to be connected to the internet. The Surface RT could only use Anki web version and that just isn't enough for me. I will be studying at random times in different places and will not always have internet.

Someone please help me because I don't know much about computers. I think the Surface Pro would work for me but that's just too expensive to get for only DAT studying. I also don't want something too big because I will be carrying it around a lot and ideally it would fit in a very large purse. Any suggestions?

How cheap are we talking? You can get a refurb macbook air for $719. This computer is SUPER portable, and you can NEVER go wrong with a Mac! 😀 It will also last you many years, which you can't always expect with other inexpensive laptops.

Go to best buy or circuit city and see if they have any display laptops (pcs are fine) for cell. Then whichever u get change the display settings to 1024x768 bc all pro metric workstations use that. If u got questions on how to change the display settings pm me.

I use a Surface Pro, you can probably pick up a cheap used one on Ebay.

You have the first surface pro? Were you able to use Crack DAT PAT on it? I think buying a new Surface Pro 2 would be too much but I think you're right getting a used Surface Pro might be just what I need.

I was thinking this too but I was going to buy one of those cute little laptops that are a couple hundred dollars but the guy at the store said those were really bad and crash all the time. What about those Chromebook things? Are those real computers and would they be able to run the programs?

As far as I know, you won't be able to install CDP on a Chromebook.

OK so I've decided to get the first surface pro. Is windows 8 pro the same as windows 8? I see the requirements listed on the website for crack DAT only say windows 8.

I wonder if the price will drop if I wait a month since the pro 3 is coming out. One last question, are you using a stylus with this? If so, which one? The one with the pro 3 looks nice but I don't see myself buying it just for the stylus especially since I will probably get a new device once I get accepted and start dental school.
