What do you think a low BCP average (below 3) but higher science GPA (3.4ish)?

Since it shows improvement...it's good?

I know there are other factors counted to the whole app process like DAT, extracurriculars, etc.

also...i visited the aadsas website..and there is not a real clear line between BCP and "other" science course? meaning..upper division classes such as anatomy..is also counted as BCP?

thanks!!!!

It is my understanding that BCP is just for the courses listed under Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Other science courses, I believe, include courses under Mathematics, Environmental Science, Geology, etc...

I think dental schools care more about the BCP GPA than SCI GPA - probably just because they believe BCP courses are more relevant to dentistry 😕

Well, don't stress out about the GPA. There is really nothing you can do at this point and dental schools definitely look at more things other than your BCP GPA. Good luck!🙂

I dont have a huge gap like that, but enough where its noticeable... Personally, even though I hate to admit it, i dont think it looks good one bit.. i mean... i dont think it would show improvement? how would it show improvement??? all it shows is that you did good in your maths and "other sciences" enough to pick up your BCP... but that B, C, & P are still weak
