Anyone else have trouble getting other MD's to step up to the plate?
Actually about half of the PCP's seem pretty good in my institution despite being overworked and underpaid; the other half won't even prescribe long term/stable antidepressants without referring to behavioral health.
I have neurologists who treat MS and won't prescribe stim's: they get sent to me. Like their important job is signing a prescription for Tecfidera, and see 3 MS patients per day.
I have put in my notice, and will be doing inpatient in the future. Only 86 more days of outpatient work. I am also changing health care organizations, but I am also having trouble getting some of my current patients care after I leave. The outpatient behavioral health system here extremely limited; for you all doing inpatient, how do you get care for some of these patients after discharge?
