Last Interview Dates For BU, Columbia, Tufts, Penn, UMDNJ

Hi guys,

As I am waiting for at least one interview invite to roll in, I was curious when the last interview dates for these schools were. I am roaming through predents to figure out the ballpark, and I was wondering if the trend from predents apply this year too. Here's what I figured out so far from 2008 cycle.

BU: Mar 25th, 2008
Columbia: Feb 29th, 2008
Tufts: Feb 21st, 2008
Penn: Feb 29th, 2008
UMDNJ: Feb 8th, 2008

I emailed these schools for status inquiry last Thursday, and Penn replied and sent me a mail stating that they are conducting interviews till early March. For Columbia, I got application fee request email by Ms. Lugo as everyone else and Dr. McManus is out of office till Monday so I did not hear anything from him. Tufts replied with 'still under review' message. And nothing from BU and UMDNJ.

For those who had interviews there recently, did interviewers say anything? Like how many seats left or Feb will the last month for conducting interviews? Thanks for your inputs in advance

I have an interview for tufts on the 26th so I know they are not done.

For UMDNJ, Jan 30th was the last day I was told. Hope that helps!

If you have an invterview on the Feb 29th good luck. But in all seriousness when I was at my Penn interview on Feb 12th we were told that the last week of interviews were going to be held the last week of Feb so I'm assuming that the last day would be Feb 27th

If you have an invterview on the Feb 29th good luck. But in all seriousness when I was at my Penn interview on Feb 12th we were told that the last week of interviews were going to be held the last week of Feb so I'm assuming that the last day would be Feb 27th

You're right that there is no Feb 29 this year as its not a leap year. However, 2008 from which jsdds gathered the above information was a leap year and Feb. 29 was a Friday. As you've said ... the 27th seems like a better bet for this year.

So I heard from Dr. McManus today, and he wrote "Try to be patient. You will hear from us shortly." Does that mean I will get rejection letter soon since I am not invited for interview yet?

alwaysimproving said in another chat that she received an invite today, so I guess Columbia is not done with interviews....

I wonder why the admissions committee need to be so secretative.

IMO, that is a good sign. Just basing it on the way he said it so no proof whatsoever.

maybe you'll get accepted without an interview

actually... lets be realistic. So you sent him a email directly to him. I doubt he has your application anywhere near him, it is probably somewhere near the committee's conference room. Do you think he looked at your email, got up and went to look for your application, most likely he just sent you a quick reply just to tell you to wait. Just treat this email as nothing important, just hope for an interview invite soon, or it is too late. good luck to you!

btk2333 did you find out about your interview for BU via email or mail. Also, did the AADSAS portal change b/c my portal now says that I am under review and they are checking to see if i am eligible for a interview. Is it late to still get a interview? Thanks any feedback would be great.

yeah.. i interviewed at penn on feb 27th, and if memory serves me right - they said that was the last day of interviewing..
