I received an II yesterday and had to choose between doing it tomorrow or mid December and chose to do it tomorrow. As this is my first interview I would really appreciate any tips or advice for preparing myself today. Thanks!

Ok a few tips from a 'successful' interviewee:

1. Stay relaxed. Nothing will get between you and your desired outcome like your own stress level. Relax tonight, have a glass of wine, go on a run, whatever works for you. I advise staying away from too much caffeine the day of. Remember, many schools ultimately accept 50-80% of their interview pool; in other word you are in a good spot. Remember to SMILE 🙂 !

2. Know the school. Do a little research today on the school, their mission, their location, and why you want to go there. It is important that these answers be authentic.

3. Know your app. The school likes you on paper, hence the interview invite. You want to show the school that you truly are the person you claim to be.

4. Don't be arrogant. NO ONE wants an entitled brat in their school. Stay humble.

5. Send the thank-you notes. Unless explicitly told not too, thank your interviewers the same day via email. It's professional and polite.

These are some of the big ones, @Goro has a much more extensive list here - http://forums.studentdoctor.net/threads/goro’s-guide-to-interviews.1097033/
His tips were very helpful during my interviews!

EDIT: Focus on who you are! The school (for the most part) already knows what you have done, no reason to reiterate. Use your experiences to illustrate the kind of person you are.

I cannot stress enough how important it is to know the school. I studied a lot before I went into my interview and I think it was a big reason why I was accepted. You can't change your personality in a day, but it's important to be humble and appreciative during your II.

I agree. Be sure you can answer "Why this school / what do you bring to this program."
No one there knows you, so act like you belong there. Act old and mature, but smile every few minutes when appropriate.

If you get nervous, just imagine yourself naked. Works every time for me

Also dig up my guide to YOUR interview questions. Keep in mind that you're interviewing the school as much as they are interviewing you.
Good luck!
