okay guys,
help me out here....

what does the structure of phosphorus oxychloride look like? and also what would be the formal charge on it?
I thought it would be POCl2, with double bonded O to P, and formal charge of +1, but the answer is 0!!!

Now Ochem,
when we add NaN3 to a primary alkyl halide, we form an amine?

thanks in advance🙂

Let me intro you to a new friend name...Wikipedia

What question was the phosphorous oxychloride on? It sounds like Oxy10 acne thingy.

I guess formal charge would be P +5, Cl -1, O -2 ?

NaN3 to give alkyl-N3. Later if you reduce it with LAH, you would then get primary amine and N2 as side product
