Hello
I am IMG who is ranked first in a class of 90 and who is passionate about medicine.
I decided to take my STEP 1 in late March 2015. I have been studying for months but had some interruptions and bumps along the way. I did all FA (except biostatistics and ethics, some pages of embryology in OBGYN, half of psychiatry including drugs and anti-arrhythmics) with a lot of books (kaplan for biochem and immuno, mrs and kaplan for microbiology, goljan for pathology, brs physiology for physiology, etc.
I started doing uworld questions in early january after only going once through the whole thing. I was barely able to finish a block per day. Did blocks per system scoring around 80% (1-2 months after studying the subject once). Then started to try random 46 questions scoring an average of 77% on 7 consecutive blocks. I feel that most uworld questions are about concepts and since I know my concepts really well I am able to score high on pathology and pathophysiology without really remembering pages per se from FA. Questions I'm missing are either things i haven't studied or stuff i memorized and forgot. And here I am now with a month to go trying to plan my month. I am thinking of cramming pages from FA for easy memorizing questions in the exam and try to do as much questions as possible in uworld. I know i won't be able to do more than 1000-1200 🙁.
i took 1 NBME (NBME 11) to gauge my progress and got a 251 (19 errors) with something like 2-3 stupid mistakes. But i feel it's a fluke since i was able to answer embryo biostats and ethics from my medical background. What if i get some specific stuff i haven't studied? What if i get difficult questions and stuff i haven't seen in uworld cause i barely did half of it? I am trying to read the pages i skipped the first time.
please help me. i am very confused and really need to pull it all together to try to get a 250.
any help is appreciated.

take another NBME. preferably one of the higher numbers (13,15). continue USMLE world random. if the NBME is in the range you want, spend 2 more weeks doing UWORLD then the 3 week go through first aid front to back and take ur exam

If I do half UWORLD and barely go through FA twice, is it still possible to get a high score? should I trust my nbme scores, my medical background and mental fortitude and go take the exam with an incomplete preparation?
