Last possible date for pre-req's?

I found out today that USD (So Dakota) doesn't allow students to complete any prereqs over the summer... They are fine with taking classes this spring, but not over the summer. I know that CSU (Colo) is fine with tying up loose ends in the summer before starting the program because I had students in my classes last summer.

You all know how some schools ask for unusual pre-reqs that no other schools ask for. I have everything done for one school, and the other two I have one or two yet to take. I thought I was being so clever in putting off taking those classes until I knew I needed to... Now I'm scrambling to register for online classes, costing MORE money, and might not even need if I don't go to their program! It's very frustrating. Just getting the prereqs done is expensive!

I just thought I'd pass this info on, something else to ask programs and also to see if any of you had come across this rule. There's nothing on the USD website or in OTCAS that says this, or at least I haven't found it if there is. I have a message in to UW to see if they have the same rule... I have one class to take for them (Chemistry) that no one else requires...

Oh this is the story of my life and its so miserable! Hahaha...

And what the heck is up with the random prerequisites? An OT I shadowed who wrote my letter of rec was asking me why I haven't consider some other schools. She got her Bachelors in OT the last year it was allowed. She is constantly dumbfounded by the requirements!
