Hey
I'm taking my last course (College Physics II) right now in the summer session II before I go off to pharmacy school in the Fall. The class just started. However, my professor is a bit tough and it's hard to not think about that everything I worked for might be in jeopardy because of this course. Furthermore, it's not like I have the option of taking it over it again, I need to pass this course. Anyone going through the same thing where they had a tough professor for their last pre-req course taken in the summer?

Hi!
amian04,

I would go to Professor and ask him/her "If you were me how would you study for this class(College Physics II)?" That way, he/she can tell you how much you have to study every day, how previous students did in his/her class(if students did well how they studied), what to do to be a successful in this class, etc.

You can also go to Academic Toturing at your College/University for help.

That's just my opion!

I hope this helps!

hi amian,
I'm in the same boat as you. I hate physics w/ a passion but I'm need to complete this course before I start school in the fall. The good thing is that we just need to pass, but even that is looking like a challange. How much do you think it would take to persuade a professor? 100 US?

I'm near the beginning of my pre-reqs, but I do understand what you're going thru, physics is horrid, and a pain in the butt professor doesn't help at all (mine is a first time teacher with a THICK accent, no conscience and a monotone accent that would bore even the biggest physics enthusiast)
But I say, just stick thru it, and use the teacher for help (along with other school/physics resources) as much as possible.

GOOD LUCK!!! 😀

Physics 2 did a number on me as well, No matter how hard I studied I kept getting C's on the midterms and eventually ended up with a C.

Your at a big advantage , all you need is a C, My C brought my GPA down and lowered me on the waitlist from #20-#57 @ Temple.

Good luck, im sure you'll pull through in the end!

yea i have one more class to get through..A&P II before I start pharm. school in the fall! And one of the reasons why University of TN put this class in the pre-reqs is so that the med. school teachers here wouldn't be teaching the class so that it would be a little bit easier on us..yea..and guess who is teaching my class?? A Med. school professor from UT! It is one of the hardest classes i've taken. I could usually just read the book once in A&P I and get a B, and I thought that teacher was hard because of the questions he asked on his test..but yea..i'm not doing well..and the four other pharm. school students in that class aren't doing well either! So i hope I can get my C so i can start in the fall!
