I just wrapped up my 3rd times taking the DAT, I know but I really wanted to make up for the last times I tried. But, I ended up with 19 AA and 21 TS; I was really looking forwards to applying this cycle but coupled with a low GPA and low DAT score, I don't know but my parents and friends are pushing me to apply saying there's always some chance. My GPA is 3.2 and science is 2.95. I applied to Rutgers Dental Scholars program and was accepted, will be enrolling this upcoming fall. I am a NJ resident and with pretty decent extracurriculars volunteer hours, was a EOF honors society member, and a first generation student. Feeling really down about the DAT; I did alright in all portions but got a 16, I don't know what happened to me on this portion, nothing/no one to blame but myself.

My question is just are there any schools that'd be in my range that I would have a shot at while doing my masters? Thanks to all.

What is the 16 in? Of its QR I would apply anyways.

your scores look fine, but if that 16 had been close 20, you would have a fantastic score. Bummer!
If it was Rc, like it was mentioned above, go ahead and apply. I heard that they look at QR the least.

It was in fact QR; it really killed me, that I went all in for this try improving drastically just to fall on my face on QR. Thanks for replying guys; what schools should I look into; I'm looking to apply by within a week or two after scores are received by schools. Thanks again

Same story as me. But in the end it turned out ok

See if you can't try and expedite the process. You still have a shot as long as your app is in before mid July. AADSAS seems really quick this cycle, so just get your whole application ready whilst you wait on this LOR.

Can you share your complete DAT score? Post your stats on the chance me thread and see if you can get some feedback!

Submit now, your gpa won't get calculated till
You submit and have your transcripts in. You have more than enough time to play with LORs.

I got a 16 QR and was never asked about it, had multiple interviews and acceptances ! go for it and apply!
You got into Columbia with a 16QR? Do you mind sharing your other stats I'm guessing they are great?

From what I heard, QR isn't looked at that much as much as the rest of the other science and PAT. Honestly, I don't know why QR is even tested on; I've talked with dentists and doctors and they don't remember using any math in Med/Dental school or their day to do careers. Conversions, sure, but that's a skill that can be tested in GenChem.

I was thinking of applying to these schools: I want to narrow it down to 11-12; which 3 can i remove/add/substitute for another. Please any help would be appreciated I am looking to apply tomorrow. Thanks!

I think you're on the right track with the SMP, and I agree with the other's assessment of your QR score; it's no big deal. And great job with your TS!
Anyway, like I said you're doing the right thing with the GPA as far as the SMP. However...I think your RC could use some improvement. You did better than me in much of your app, and you definitely show comittment. Without giving out too many details about me, your stats are a little better than mine more or less in everything. My QR was a 19, but my RC was 26. I think if it wasn't for that I wouldn't have gotten in.
Just remember, if this is your goal, your dream; don't EVER give up and never stop trying. I say listen to your family and friends and apply, you never know.
I almost didn't apply this last cycle, I told my wife that my stats were terrible and I would never get in. In fact, in my frustration I may have called her "stupid." But I got in, and I ate my words. In fact, she feeds them to me every chance she gets, but I deserve it. But I have her to thank for it because if she didn't encourage me, i wouldn't be starting in the fall.
You will get it!
