I got my AACOMAS verified last year around August if I recall correctly and got interviews to all but one DO school I finished applying to (NYCOM). The only thing is, I submitted at the end of June and I believe it was taking AACOMAS 5 weeks to verify applications at that time. Does anyone know how long it is taking right now?

I got everything in around Mid-October, verified November 25th.

I only applied to 3 schools which I was pretty competitive at in terms of stats. I got secondaries from all 3.

One was so much faster---I recieved an interview and then an acceptance before I even heard back from the other two schools. I didn't have $2,000 for them and a deposit for the others, so the process stopped there.

A 3.4 and a 24 should make you somewhat competitive at some schools.

Edit, by competitive I mean around or slightly above the average. Sure you want a 4.0 and a 36, but there's a solid chance.

I submitter 7/1 and got verified today (7/14). So it's currently taking about two weeks. By end of July, I would say anywhere from 3-5 weeks to get verified. So If you submitted around July 24th, I wouldn't agree that you'd have your secondaries completed by mid-august given that your primary may not even be verified.

That being said, I would submit your application as soon as its ready. Your sGPA is above average and assuming an increase in your MCAT score, you will be somewhat competitive, but not considered 'late' nor 'early'.

I submitted July 27th last year and wasn't verified until September 17th. AACOMAS seems to be moving quite a bit faster this year but still. I would get your primary in this week. You will have time to get verified and they will add in your MCAT score likely before finishing verification.

I submitted my primary two weeks ago and my mcat is end of july! you don't need your mcat score for your primary application! so send it in!
