Late Application/DAT submission

I am a recent graduate from college and taking a gap year while planning to apply for dental schools during 2018 cycle.

The problem is I decided to apply to dental schools pretty late than others.
So I am still working on my application (probably will send in my application by next week) and planning to take my DAT on the first week of September.

I just wanted to hear from others who already went through the process if I am in a wrong track and everything seems to be too late.

I know AADAS takes time to verify things after I submit my application and even if I submit my application by next week, I will be put into July cycle (if I'm lucky). Along with late submission of DAT score as well, I'm not sure if I should rush and just take the DAT by this August instead.

Honest advice please...feel so lost and stupid after reading others' early submission stories..

GPA 3.87 (Science GPA 3.75)

Even if you the rest of your app gets sent out in July, it's not going to be complete/looked at by most schools until September when your DAT scores officially clear. Your GPA is very strong but your performance on the DAT is a complete unknown and September is very late to be completing your application. You can still get in somewhere (especially if you do well on the DAT) but it's going to be a lot more difficult than if you had applied early.
