Late interview date/less chance of acceptance?

I was just curious what people thought about receiving an interview date pretty far in the future. I was contacted in Oct. but the date isn't until Jan. Does this mean that they're not particularly interested or am I just reading too much into it??

I don't believe that the date they schedule you for an interview has anything to do with how interested they are in you. I think it has more to do with when you submitted your secondary and how long you have been complete?

That's just my guess. I could be wrong though 😕 😕

if you were contacted in october and the first interview date they gave you was for january, then im sure thats just how far out they are booking; if you get a call in like january for an interview in feb/march, then i think your chances are a bit less... from what ive gathered it seems like a lot of schools who interview through april are interviewing for the waitlist in those latter months... im sure it depends on the school though

Thanks for the feedback! My app. was complete in Oct (they e-mailed me a week after they were offically complete) I was just kind of worried since it was scheduled so far ahead, this is definately my first choice school.... I supposed I'll go help myself to some Tums and calm down now!

If it's your 1st choice school, hopefully you will have interviews at other schools before then. That way you can get some interview experience before January so you can rock the interview!
