late interview dates

hello,
I was wondering if I would be at a great disadvantage if I can only attend late interview dates (January at the earliest).
I was planning on studying abroad out of the states this fall but wanted to apply before I left.
I would appreciate the feedback.

It would not necessarily be a disadvantage to attend an interview late... providing that you were granted an interview to begin with.

For me, back when I applied to dental school, I sent in my apps in december, and got my interview dates in Feb. Out of the 8 schools I applied to, I was fortunate and didn't get denied an interview spot except for 1.
..... and my stats were not bad, but they were not super stellar either.
