i know this has been asked but I don't have a clear answer

So many schools say they only accept sep mcat at latest. Let's say you are on a wait list, take a late mcat and do really well would they really not consider it at all or would they say at the end of the day it raises our mcat average (let's say 5 point increase from 31 to 36 or equivalent in new meat)

I'm not sure I understand your question or rather situation. If you are already on a WL and then take an MCAT, would they look at it?

Yes!

I'm surprised how little interest this question gets must be obvious but not to me...

"Dear school where I am wait listed

I recently took the April meat and got a 37"

I highly doubt it would make a difference. If you already got to the post-interview stage, they're no longer looking at your MCAT with the kind of emphasis you imagine they are. The MCAT is the number that gets you to the front door. Beyond that, it's a much more holistic review process that does not hinge on that number. Feel free to tell them! But it won't singlehandedly make or break your WL spot.

Disclaimer: I don't serve on an admissions committee; this is all just my opinion. Take it with a grain of salt.

Thank you that makes sense

And a like from Goro is is a +2 from someone who knows
