If I receive my MCAT scores in August, and complete the primary AMCAS application in August...is it late or is it still in good timing?

Also, If i receive my MCAT scores in September, and complete the primary AMCAS application in Sept, is it really late but still have a chance in getting a response from a med school?

I mean...I did that and I'm doing fine this cycle - but you should try to do everything earlier. It IS possible though...just...sub-optimal

Agreed. My primary was verified in September. I'm doing fine this cycle as well. But you need to assess the strength of your application. If you're a borderline applicant with a lower GPA and/or MCAT, then applying as early as possible can really help you.

And I hope by "complete" you mean verified right? I would fill out the primary as early as possible. The verification process can take over a month to finish. Fill everything out and then just mark on there that you are waiting for MCAT scores. I would probably only apply to one school first, just in case your score doesn't turn out as well as you'd like. Then after your scores are released, you can decide whether or not to add more schools.

So if I submit my primary AMCAS for verification earlier, should I still enter my first MCAT score even if I didnt do really well...*i really did not do well*? Because I plan to retake it around July or August.

If I recall correctly, your verified application is populated with all previous test scores. You don't actually enter them in. So basically you have no choice in the matter. Schools will see your score regardless. All you can do is mark on there that you will be retaking the exam.

THANK YOU all for the help!

Yeah, you won't have a choice as AMCAS enters your MCAT scores for you. I would still submit AMCAS early and check the box that says you're retaking the MCAT. That way, for the schools that do automatic secondaries, you can at least have those filled out by the time the scores come back. The score will come in and they can make their decision without another month or two of applicants crowding the pile.
