Spending too much time on this forum probably made me extremely neurotic. However, I was just wondering what people thought of my situation. Basically I have applied and completed all of my secondaries by August, but my committee letter of rec did not arrive until yesterday. I know I can't do anything at this point, but would being complete around this time (early September) seriously impair my chances this cycle?

:/

A lot of schools are non-rolling in regards to making admission decisions. That being said, if your stats are average to a particular school you are applying to, you chances of interview have decreased, as more and more slots are being filled up.

Again these are just statistics and speaking generally, perhaps the adcoms will really like your essay and invite you anyways. There are just too many factors to say for certain. Impaired yes, but to how much, that varies. Good luck!

Last year, I didn't get my letters / secondaries in until October-November and managed to get 5 interviews

In my opinion, it heavily depends on your stats and which schools you applied to

Do you think your committee letter was the ONLY one that just got out? Really? Sure, it's a bad mark in your favor, but seriously. Many others only just got their committee letters too.
