I am working on my CAS application, and am also working on my ERAS app for prelim year. I will be taking Step 2 CK late October (our school requires it before november) because I scored well enough on my step 1, and because I have multiple ophtho rotations early on that will hinder me from taking it earlier.

My question is: On the ERAS app where you release USMLE scores, should I NOT allow for an automatic resend when new USMLE scores become available? I am not scared of bombing step 2, but just don't really want to have to deal with it...would appreciate any advice.

Thanks

it's fine if you don't automatically send out your scores..most prelim places don't care and if they did, they can ask you. i sent mine out after i got mine back and i saw they were fine. i would prob release them at some point though.

this only effects ERAS and has nothing to do with your ophtho application.

It's ok not to send them automatically. We're talking about a delay of a few days only. You can always update your application whenever you feel like it.
