Many of us reapplicants were unsure of whether we would have to reapply or not until late spring/early summer, after which we scrambled to get our stuff together. The reason I think I did not get in was a combination of lateness (wasn't complete until Dec) and lack of experiences. Now that I have a boatload of shadowing experience in FP (120+ hours), a four day a week job assisting an Ophthalmologist with tons of interaction with patients, and will be starting volunteer clinical research studies soon.
Now my question is, how late is too late to submit your primary? I've submitted mine (MD/DO) 8/17, and only chose to submit it that late because I did not want to submit the same application as last cycle's, just so it could be in early, but not have any changes.
Also, what do you guys think my chances are this cycle?
Stats:
34Q MCAT
3.79cgpa/ 3.75 sgpa
Lots of TAing
75 hours hospital volunteering (non-clinical)
2 Honor Societies
+ whatever I have listed above
Thank you and good luck to all of you.
