Hey guys, I need some advice.

I've been back and forth whether to apply this round or next round and have a year off of school. I haven't started my app yet and have two LOR so far. If I apply this round I will push for it to be submitted by early/mid August, which I realize is pretty dang late. My stats are pretty good (except for shadowing hours) so I hope that might make up for such a late application, what do you think? My stats are...

3.98 GPA (science GPA should be about 3.93ish)
24 AA on DAT
250 hours community service
50 shadowing hours. However I did shadow about 150 hours in highschool as part of a senior internship program, so I'd mention that in my personal statement.

thanks!

Ha you'll be 1000% fine applying in August. Just take a few days and think about what you'd do if you took a year off, then made a decision.

Good stats and it seems like you have your material ready for the most part/know how the process works. Do it this year.

Awesome, thanks! I've read on other posts that August is late and significantly reduces your chances, but I like your responses better haha Also, do you think the 150 shadowing hours in highschool makes up for the meer 50 hours of shadowing in college?

haha I realize high school doesn't count! But hopefully if they know I have more exposure to the dental field than just 50 hours they won't be so harsh. maybe
