Would I be fine if I submitted all my DO secondaries by December 5th? 🤔 juggling these essays with a full graduate course load is not fun. For reference, my MCAT is 508 and GPA is 3.85

At my school, we figure on a six weeks turnaround time from receipt of secondaries to IIs, (let's add one more for the holidays), so it won't be until late Jan when you get your II, and then you'll be interviewing in roughly Mar-Apr.

We start getting picky then. Your odds get better with the newer schools, but there are risks with that.

But I thought you said applying by thanksgiving wasn't considered late with DO?

The last time I looked at a calendar, Dec 5 was after T-giving.

Oh, so you meant being complete by Thanksgiving wasn't late? I thought you meant submitting AACOMAS by thanksgiving isn't late...

I know my school has some extra days off for the holidays so that will push everything later and may take longer to get you complete. That means that you will not even be in line to get seen until some time in January and that is late. Interview days are already filling up in December.
