I'm not sure there is a clear cutoff. I remember someone retaking the dat in May last year and getting into NYU in June. Maybe there is a specific date if you haven't taken it at all yet though.

I have to retake the DAT and I was planning on taking it in december so I emailed the schoolsI applied to and most said as long as they have the new scores before their deadline AND if you notify them of a retake planned, but this doesn't gurantee anything. That was what I was told 🙂

Late DAT dates are fine as long as there are open spots and your GPA and everything else is the real deal. I had a classmate who took DAT in Feb and was accepted in March. He had very high stats though.
