So I plan to take the MCAT in January and am currently deciding on the specific date.

If I submit my application on June 3rd when it opens up, and all that is left is the MCAT test score, will it be detrimental if I take it mid-June instead of early-June?

Essentially, my application will be out the way with my LORs, and as soon as the scores come out I will submit. If the difference in June does not make a difference, how much will it impact me if I take it in June instead of May?

took my test in August. my app was considered complete with my new score late September. Difference is negligible in your case IMO

January? Your post is confusing.

If you submit June 3rd without knowing the MCAT score it may take a few days to get your transcripts verified, but AMCAS doesn't send out any completed applications until the end of June, even if your MCAT score becomes available before then.

If you submit in Mid-July, after a mid-June take date already knowing your score, it will take 4+ weeks to get your transcripts verified, getting you to mid- to late-August before schools receive your application.

If you submit the application without knowing if you have a competitive score, you risk ~$160 plus added school fees. To risk less money, you might apply to just a single school. Once you know the score, you can add others and (pay for them) and target schools more suited to your score.

I think the third option is your best bet OP. Get your apps in early, submit your AMCAS w/o knowing your MCAT score. Apply only to one school just to have it verified and ready to go. Having it verified in August is already too late and I speak from experience 😉.
