Just wondering what does it take to get into Stanford. My top choices have been them or HMS.
At HMS, you’ll find incredibly smart and accomplished students—top GPAs, near-perfect MCATs, solid research, and strong clinical experience. But while they’re obviously brilliant, their path is usually logical and structured imo—they worked hard and had very impressive resumes. You look at a Harvard student and think, “Yeah, they’re really smart,” but it’s within the realm of what you’d expect from a top-tier applicant.
Stanford, though? Just can't find that much success story or sankeys on reddit or sdn. Like from what is available onliine, people who go there either built a successful startup or Forbes 30U30 for cancer or PhD with first-author CNS papers or engineers from microsoft or NASA. Like wth. With only 1% acceptance rate? WTH! I have good grades (LM 78) but don't know if my ECs is their caliber.
