My anatomy professor in college recommended the following book:
Dictionary of word roots and combining forms. By Donald Borror
It says that it is "compiled from the Greek, Latin, and other languages with special reference to biological terms and scientific names". It was very useful when I was studying anatomy. The best part is that it is a small paperback so you can pack in your backpack without adding weight.
