Does it help to know Latin (or another language) for anatomy, physiology or advanced biology? I know this sounds a bit far fetched, but a prof. I was talking to last week from my undergrad school suggested I take two weeks and teach myself some elementary latin.
and oh yes, is latin a big pain in the gluteus maximus?
thannx :)

A medical terminology course could be of help, but certainly isn't necessary. I took both Greek and Latin medical terminology many years ago and it covered pretty much everything I needed to learn. Learning Latin as a language wouldn't be very efficient. You'll be fine. My brother and father both took Latin (brother took several years of it as his foreign language in college) and the overall sentiment was summed up by both of them in the following timeless verse:

"Latin is a language, rolling in the dust..
First it killed the Romans, now it's killing us..."
