My program director keeps asking me to look this up. I cant find it at all. Anyone know what they are or what paper it refers to?

If I remember correctly, Vasconez's Law is: the least vascularized part of your flap (usually the tip) is that part that has to cover the structure that you're trying to protect.

A paradox of Vasconez's laws.
Hallock GG.

First law: Some flaps make it do and some don’t.
Second law: All of the flap will survive except the part
that you need.
Third law: If plan A fails, don’t make plan B identical
to plan A.
Fourth law: It always happens to me.
Fifth law: Do not delay flaps (only after 5:00 pm ).
