Does the LCME ever examine whether a given schools rotations are actually providing what the school says its providing? I.e. places where the M4s shadow all day on their electives. M3 internal med rotation = sitting in a disgusting lounge with a moldy couch for 7-8hrs per day doing nothing. Many other examples, but you get the picture.

Just wanted to know if anyone knows whether they actually do surveys of this kind of thing.

So if it was a nice lounge with coffee and donuts, that would be ok?

Is this the whole rotation or just a section of it? Who's running it? Academic or community hospital? Do all students go through there, or just select members of your class? On site, or off site?

yeah there's a way to whistle blow i'm sure

there's some sort of paper review they do on a regular schedule

when you graduate there's a survey you can fill out

and I think it's like every 4 years or some odd they do a "site visit"

you could probably go to the LCME website even!!!

I know it's a thing, I went to a good school, and at one point there were put on probation and had to do a little song and dance about it, didn't do squat but there you go
