Hello all,
I was going through pleural effusion questions on UW and realized that normal serum LDH range in UW is given as 45-90 U/L. Every other reference (webmd, medscape, etc) show range around 140-280 U/L. One of the Light's criteria for exudative effusion (pleural fluid LDH > 2/3rd of upper limit of normal for serum LDH) is dependant on this!!
Please shed light on which range is more correct.
