My employer has Infab and Burlington Medical as vendors to choose from. One brand better over the other in terms of comfort / longevity / easiness to clean (I sweat a lot)?

What types do you guys recommend? I’ve seen in person the regular one-piece used by most partners, but have also seen a few of the two-piece (vest and skirt) types. Some colleagues said the two-piece is a pain to wear and take off but they want their backs covered.

some people factor in weight of lead apron especially if they have to stand 8 hours. I remember a spine surgeon who bought the thickest most coverage
radiation suit he could find. lasted about a week in it. looked like a spaceman.

Both Infab and Burlington are very good/excellent. I have always used a one piece.

Get a one piece. I got an infab fancy 2 piece for 1500ish custom fit. Hate it. Drags my pants down all day so I have to wear it with construction worker suspenders. Wish I went with a one piece wrap around

Gonna throw my vote in for the opposite. I have a Burlington med 2 piece. Love it more than the 1 piece that my colleagues use. Weight on the hips and not the shoulders/back. I don't have the aforementioned pant issue at all.

Infab 2 piece with lumbar support belt built in to the "kilt." First lasted 7-8 years, was light and easy on my troublesome back. Replacement was falling apart after a year, but the other aspects remained the same. The quality went south in a big way. All pockets except for a hidden chest pocket near the velcro flaps are fake, so only one spot for phone and any other accessories. The nylon border frayed completely and looks like trash.

I like Infab but they keep changing their material. My first apron from 10 years ago was very light for .5mm lead equivalent. I bought another that was supposed to be the same in 2020 and it was heavier, the 2022 lead I bought for the new office was a pinch lighter. The ASC has ridiculous lead (puppy dog, red flame, skeletons, blue flame) so I had the good idea of retiring my office lead to the ASC. It is back to being super light again. Another reason I retired the lead to the ASC was it was flat black and splatter from drawing up our own meds in the office was staining it. Not an issue with gray. I would also recommend magnetic closure on the thyroid collar and a clasp. More comfortable.
