Any recommendations from those who have been using them for a while? I have seen different brands/models for frames (Nike, Oakley, Wiley-X, etc) on Google. Is it worth spending more money for a “brand name” pair? I want to start protecting my eyes now that I’m doing procedures

Any particular vendor recommendation? I saw a bunch from my online search in case anyone tends to give discounts more easily.

Thank you all!

I use Nike Brazens. Have snapped them in the middle twice now taking them off and on too aggressively. They replaced them for free both times.

The nice thing about the "brand names" is you can go to a sunglass hut or similar and try on the frames. Also, they won't look like Mr. Magoo glasses.

I was able to get the Oakley 5 squared frames, which were exactly the same as my daily wear sunglasses.

Just recognize the lenses will be far heavier than the samples you try on. (I wear croakies to balance them out.)

Guys I’ve tried several pairs including the some ones listed here over the years and no matter what the goggles fog up and I get frustrated and remove them and they just sit idle.

I’ve tried a lot of tricks with alcohol and various antifog chemicals this and that and I’m getting nowhere.

Is anyone else having this stupid issue and if so what worked for you?

wear a high quality mask with a metal bridge that has a good breathability rating (or it will be stifling). form it very well to your face or even put some paper tape on the top to seal it from your glasses.

you can see some testing. ive used the armbrust mask since beginning of covid and they are very breathable and comfortable and can give a good seal so i dont get any fogging.

and no im not a paid shill for armbrust.

Keeping the glasses slightly off of your face (nose piece sits a bit forward on your nose and not up against the bridge) tends to help a lot. Make sure you have a strap on your glasses so you can secure them at that "depth" so they don't slide forward and fall off your face.

In the OR, I always put a piece of tape along the top of the mask to make a vapor barrier. Stops fogging completely. Tape type can mess up your face a bit. Fun trick with that is to grab a tegaderm and use the little piece that has the date marker on it. Small little strip, fits along the nose section of the mask, works well and the adhesive doesn't do a number on my skin.

Combination of glasses where the nose piece keeps it a bit away from my face, strap in the back, masks that have the built-in adhesive strip at top, and fog wipe on my glasses at the beginning of the day has worked like a charm.
