In order to stop the whining, duck_man, I'll respond.

GO SEE A DOCTOR!

We don't know what the pellet was made out of. We don't know where it is in relation to your optic nerve and extraocular muscles. We've never seen the original CT scan.

I'm hoping you had a CT at the time of injury, and I'm hoping the treating doctor had you bring in a similar pellet or the box of pellets that you shot yourself with. Then the material could be identified and your long-term risk (if any) assessed.

They probably did all these tests five years ago and told you all about the results, and you've forgotten everything they told you. So either go find the original treating doctor or go see a new one.

I wouldn't get any MRIs in the meantime, though 😉

If it's really a lead pellet, it wouldn't matter.

Tom, this time please send me the "stay off my forum" message in PM to save on clutter.

All that said, the OP is a joke. 😉

i orriginaly started this post to see if there could be any harmful side effects because of the lead. just wanted to know if it could be infected or how lead is harmful to the body. ty

i'd recommend waiting it out for another 5 years... if things start to get worse, i'd seriously think about ACTUALLY visiting an ophthalmologist's office...
