I'm a Treasurer of this club and a Vice President position just opened up in this club. Is it worth it to go for the Vice President position?

Always try to advance in your ECs (e.g. member -> treasurer -> VP -> president). It shows a sense of commitment, ownership and of course leadership.

I'd like to add that commitment is very important also. It's good to serve in that same leadership position for 2-3 years as opposed to, say, a semester. Be actively involved in 2, 3 clubs max as opposed to half-assing 13 different things
