Hi,
I will be taking Physiology and Anatomy this summer. I wanted to get some advice on some self learning tools that will prepare me before I start those classes such as Videos, CD-Roms, …maybe even a discovery channel video…do you all know of any that could be helpful?🙄😕🙄
Thank you in advance

Check youtube for anatomy videos, I know they have some science lectures. And don't worry about learning anatomy early, I've heard that you'll learn more than you'll ever want to know in dental school.

In Anatomy we were assigned Netter's Atlas of Human Anatomy and Moore's Essential Clinical Anatomy, both decent.

There were a few "extras" that I wish I had found earlier in the course:

1) Color Atlas of Anatomy - Sounds like a coloring book, but it's amazing if you want to study outside of the cadaver lab. Much more realistic than Netter's. (Assuming you're anatomy lab involves cadavers)

2) http://www.getbodysmart.com/ -- Free, good for quizzes, it's pretty new and it's been updated alot since I used it a year ago. Also helpful w/ hphy?

For Human Phys, our assigned text was solid (Silverthorn's Human physiology: An intergrated Approach) a lot of people liked the tutorials on the CD-rom.

Don't forget about google.

Anatomy and Human Phys were two of the most interesting classes that I've taken, enjoy!
