Leave of absence for a semester what should I do?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Just a few ideas:
- get in touch with a good premed advisor
- shadow/volunteer in medical environments if your health permits
- if you haven't taken the classes that will be covered on the MCAT's, I wouldn't bother. Maybe begin verbal if you get antsy?
- do things you love doing (sounds like tutoring is something) because you're not only living your life now to fulfill requirements for med school and look good to medical schools. I volunteered outside of the medical community because I thought it was fun and interesting, and in the end, I think it will help on your app anyways.
- research more about the profession (shadowing helps a lot) to see if this is really worth doing. Do some good ole fashion soul searching.

mmm I'm done for now 🙂

Have fun, travel, shadow a doctor in a cool field. If you really want to refresh on OChem.

I wouldn't recommend studying for the MCAT right now, your too far away from your test date to make studying relevant. If you decide to study for it though, avoid studying any verbal, resources are limited for this section and you don't want this to hurt you later on.

Just some thoughts...

Do whatever you can while you take care of your health. I recommend EC's that'll enjoy doing, and not anything that will stress you out or overwhelm you.
