leaving groups

I know that the most acidic (least basic) leaving group is the best. Are there any other criteria for good leaving grps?

knowing that the conjugate bases of strong acids are the best leaving groups sums up a lot of criteria (ie resonance, size, pka etc) because we explain acidity and basicity with the same ideas. that's really the only criteria necessary and, in my opinion, it's a a sure way to explain LGs efficiently/accurately
