Leaving Summer position Best practice

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
? Why would you have major negative consequences. Give a 2 weeks notice professionally and move on. If you wanted a letter from the PI, ask them specifically if they’ll be okay with writing a strong letter. Otherwise you didn’t sign any contract binding you to this position from the sounds of it. Students jump research projects all the time.

The only thing i signed was an application for funding but I would have no idea if that is binding. Any ideas?

I doubt it but like, you have the document in front of you, not me. I think you’re being neurotic.
