Question 22 of the supplemental asks:
Write a personal essay describing yourself and the qualities you possess which will make you a successful osteopathic physician.

Did anyone just use their personal statement that was on the primary application?

I answered everything asked by this essay in my personal statement. Is it wrong if I use the same essay?

I'd be a little careful of that, as you don't want the admissions board to think that you are lazy. If it were me, I would try to summarize your personal statement from your primary. Try to think of something additional that makes you a good osteopathic candidate. Good luck!

you may use similar aspects from your PS .. but I wouldnt use it verbatim, nor would i just copy and paste the whole thing and use that. Change it up some. It was easy for me because I didnt mention anything about allo or osteo in my 2 personal statements ...

sddoc and Dr. Inviz was this essay longer, the same length, or shorter than your personal statement?

mine was a little longer, but not much. Remember, AACOMAS has a specific limit of 4500 characters, not the case with these essays. I think my essay response came out to be ~ 5300 characters.

This really is a case of the simpler, the better. All you really need is a couple of paragraphs that show you know what qualities a good osteopathic physician should have. Remember, you won't even be asked about this during interviews because everyone is asked the same set of questions. One thing they will ask, though, is for you to tell them something about you that is not in your file. I'd recommend you save something good for that question.
