I have just received an email from Lecom as follow:

"This letter is to advise you of the status of your application to LECOM School of Dental Medicine.

The Admissions Committee has reviewed your file and a decision has not yet been made regarding an interview. The Admissions Committee will meet to review your application every 90 days; you will be notified if there is a change in their decision at that time.

Please log on to the LECOM portal to view completed or additional requirements.

You may contact the Admissions Office at (941) 756-0690, or by e-mail at [email protected], if you should have any other questions regarding the application process. If your file is not complete you may submit additional documentation in support of your file."

Does this mean a rejection? Btw, I checked the portal and found something about the resident card now been received by the school? Is this the reason why? I am freaking out now...so so so frustrated 🙁(( Any input can help guys. I really dun know what to do now
My stats:
ogpa 3.42
sgpa 3.32
bcp 3.46
DAT 20/21/21 nothing below 20.

Yes, if we were to look at trends from the past three years, this email sadly means that you will be receiving a rejection letter later this year.

You can try to express your continues interest in an email or letter; however, because of the fact that they put you on the back burner and have already offered other interviews, I would assume that they are looking for qualities in applicants that you currently don;t posses.

(This is in no way meant to be rude or unsympathetic. It is more so bluntly answering the question you posed).

What does this mean? I just got this today?

I dun know what they been smoking but I know this though. There are dudes with lower stat than me got interviewed. Anyway, I dun wanna sound mean or jealous or anything. But funny thing is, after that email, I got the same email just posted above. I am really confused. I mean, why cant they just reject already so I can move on....does this mean I need to submit something else like proof of permanent resident? I will call them tm to find out. For now, it's gonna be a tough night to sleep...GL guys

LECOM told me to wait until my application was processed, so they can tell me what's missing.
How does that even make sense? Wouldn't it make sense to require X, Y, and Z before reviewing the application? I sent my supplemental app on 7/15 and have yet to hear anything back. Their portal shows nothing as well.

I hope you get an interview there my friend! Just be patient...For me, I have done a little researching around SDN, and found out this is actually a rejection. They might have a glitch in which they the 2nd email I got should have been sent 1st. Anyway, cross Lecom out of my list now......I am very frustrated since I thought this school would give me a chance

Hey guys, kind of a semi-related question,
My primaries were mailed out on 7/19, but I didn't take my DATs til 7/15 and they didn't get verified until last week. I got the emails from LECOM saying they would put my app on hold because they are missing my DATs, but they should have received my scores in the mail from AADSAS by now. My first question is related to the problem that I haven't received their supplemental apps yet, do they only send these out to complete applicants? My second questions is, if I do call them tomorrow and ask for the secondary/status of my app, would it be too late or should I still submit it ?

Okay, updated info:
I called today and spoke to a pretty nice lady name Jessica. She told me there is a hold on my proof of residency. So I need to submit a copy of it which I did, and now my status change to forward to committee for processing. Hope this works out.
Pray for 1 interview
