Does anyone know if Erie requires grades of 'C' or better in the core classes? I got a 'D' in organic chemistry and do not know if I should retake it. Thanks.

It does not say specifically on their admissions website, but it is common pratice to re-take any pre-req class in which you receive lower than a B. Perhaps you could get away with a C, but I doubt a D in a pre req.

You won't have much luck emailing the admissions office at LECOM, they have basically stopped responding to their email.
They have no specific grade limitations but you can either retake orgo or perform well in upper level chem classes. However if you get like a B+ or better in Orgo II, that would especially show great improvement, as long as you have a good story as to why you got a D the first time around.

i had a C+ in orgo II (and a B+ in orgo I), and was accepted to LECOM. however, i would advise you to retake with a D. C's are questionable, but i definetely dont think D's are really acceptable for any pre-req.
I got accepted to LECOM on the condition that I retake orgo II and get at least a 2.0 (I 1.5ed it), so yes, if you get less than you 2.0, you have to retake it.

Really? I emailed several schools, including LECOM regarding class requirements and my emails were returned within a day or two.
I guess they have a different prospective on those who are asking about applying rather than those who are acutally in the application process who email/call admissins at will. It's a lot easier to respond to a simple grade question rather than having to check a students file for documents, if it was ever reviewed, etc..

They told me about having to retake OrgoII in the actual acceptance letter, after the interview and everything. My overall GPA was a 2.85, and my Science was a 2.8, with a 29N MCAT.
