Hey guys,

I just received a letter from LECOM Erie. That I am on the alternative list and my acceptance is contingent on the completion of Statistics and Economics. *sigh*

I am just wondering how many hear on the alternative, waitlist here. I thought my interview went really well and they liked me a lot.

*sigh* This comes in during finals as well.

When I was up there, they said they pull a lot from their alternate list.So... don't give up just yet!

I'm am currently an alternate - I'm giving up my spot b/c I got into my top choice. So, better odds for you if that's any consolation

I currently hold a spot at Lecom Erie but will give it up once my acceptance at UW is finalized. So you can mark at least one more open spot 🙂

I also got a letter saying that they put me in the alternate candidate list..

I don't know how long it will take for their response....I am hoping for the best..

Anyone know approximately how many were pulled from the waitlist in the past (also, how large is their waitlist?)
Still can't comprehend the claim of unranked waitlists - doesn't make sense. I believe there probably is one at every school that claims they don't rank - prevents a mass of hysteria!!!

Well, this is my interesting story with LECOM - Erie...
Last year, I interviewed and was put on the "alternate list". I never heard back from them til like a couple days after school started and they said their class was full. Meanwhile, maybe a couple days before classes started at Bradenton campus, I got a phonecall from the dean there, saying I was accepted - yet I NEVER applied or interviewed to the Bradenton campus! They said I was on the TOP of their waitlist!?? I was confused to say the least...so yeah, they called and said I was accepted at Bradenton and I needed to fly out there like the next day. My mother is ill, and that is why I wanted to stay close to home - so I didn't have a choice but to tell them no 🙁

But it was just really weird...I didn't even apply or interview at Bradenton and they accepted me and said I was a top candidate on the alternate list - where erie said I wasn't. They "say" they don't share applications with Bradenton campus...but I guess this proves them wrong about that!

I applied and interviewed at Erie again this year, and was once again waitlisted.
