My question was whether or not they re-review grades when making the intitial accept/waitlist/decline decision after the interview, or do they strictly examine the interview due to the fact that grades were looked at in order to recieve an interview. Does anybody know about how they evaluate you after the interview?
I am not sure about the inital process, but i do know about the aftermath. I was selected as an alternate, which by the way is not a waitlist, and called back to confirm my interest in staying on the alternate list. Colleen Hawk, who is really helpful and patient with your questions, told me that all the alternates are re-reviewed every wk or two. There is no ranking right now. But in about may or so they begin ranking and it is a more official waitlist.
She also made it clear to notify them of any changes to your file such as more courses, clincial experiences, anything...especially contact info. I sent a letter of intent to the Dean the day I received my letter and a new LOR from my employer. I also continue to attack them with weekly letters and phone calls. It will keep my file fresh and with new things to review when they do meet. Hopefully that will turn this semi-frown upside down.
